MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather on Monday is expected to prevail in most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren said only the Kalayaan Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers.
Meanwhile, despite relatively clear skies, parts of Northern Luzon, specifically the Ilocos Region and Cagayan Valley will experience isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
“Sa Metro Manila pati na rin sa nalalabing bahagi pa ng Luzon ay generally fair weather condition,” said Clauren.
(In Metro Manila as well as in the rest of Luzon, the weather conditions are generally fair.)
“May pagka-maalinsangan bukas ng tanghali kaya mataas po ang taiyansa ng mga pagulan pagsapit ng hapon at gabi dulot ng localized thunderstorm,” she added.
(It will be hot tomorrow at noon so there is a high chance of rain in the afternoon and evening due to the localized thunderstorm.)
The entire Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will also have clear skies from morning until noon, but rains caused by localized thunderstorms should also be expected during the afternoon and evening.
No storms are expected to form and affect the country in the next two to three days, Pagasa added.
