MANILA, Philippines — Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies and rainy weather on Sunday due to a low-pressure area (LPA) off Eastern Samar, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
Pagasa said the low-pressure area was detected 185 kilometers east of Guian, Eastern Samar as of 3 pm.
“The LPA was estimated at 185 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas due to LPA,” Pagasa said in a report.
The northeast monsoon or “amihan” meanwhile will bring cloudy skies with light rains in Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the Ilocos region.
Fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and chances of isolated rain showers is expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, no gale warning was raised in any of the country’s seaboards with the rest of the country forecasted to have 0.6 to 2.5 meters of waves.
