SWS: 64% of Pinoys want to get vaccinated

MANILA, Philippines — More Filipinos have expressed willingness to be vaccinated against COVID-19, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed.

The Sept. 27 to Sept. 30 survey found three in five adult Filipinos or 64 percent saying they are willing to get vaccinated, up from 55 percent recorded in June and twice as high as the 32 percent registered in May.

Uncertainty about vaccination fell to 19 percent in September from 24 percent in June and 35 percent in May, while unwillingness dropped to 18 percent in September from 21 percent in June and 33 percent in May.

More than 28.7 million or 26 percent of the country’s estimated 110 million population have been fully vaccinated, as of Nov. 4. —Inquirer Research
