MANILA, Philippines — Exactly 9,948 pieces of ecstasy tablets, said to have a street value of P16.91 million, was seized from a woman in Quezon City during a controlled delivery operation launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Initial reports from PDEA showed that units from their Region 3 Office, PDEA’s offices in Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Bataan, National Capital Region, local police officers, and the Bureau of Customs delivered a package to a residential unit in Quezon City’s Barangay Tatalon.
Operatives were able to arrest a certain Elisha Mae Ilas during the operation launched at 3:45 p.m. of Friday.
Aside from the illegal substances, PDEA said they seized the Tax Identification Number ID and an Android smartphone.
