MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) near Northern Samar will continue to bring rainshowers over parts of Luzon and Visayas on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
The state weather bureau said as of 3 a.m., the LPA was located 60 kilometers east of Catarman in Northern Samar. It has low chances of developing into a storm but it is expected to bring rainshowers over parts of Luzon and Visayas.
Pagasa said cloudy weather with isolated rainshowers is expected in Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Mindoro provinces and Palawan due to the LPA.
The rest of Luzon will experience a slightly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of light rainshowers, reported Pagasa.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau reported that Visayas region will experience cloudy weather with isolated rainshowers also due to the LPA.
The Mindanao region, Pagasa said, will have fair weather with chances of isolated rainshowers due to thunderstorms.
