THE SQUADS of the Living Word Christian Church (LWCC) kept on their winning ways as they posted wins in the 2012 Fellowship of Christian Athletes Basketball League at the LWCC center in Banawa.
The Athletes for Christ in Excellent Service (Aces), a ministry of the LWCC, notched their fifth straight win after dumping the Bible Baptist Church Shepherds, 83-62, in their match in the 34-below age group.
The win separated the Aces from the rest of the pack as they now tote a 5-0 (win-loss) record while dropping the Shepherds to second place, with a 4-1 mark.
In other games in the 34-below, Blessed Hope 1 routed the Word International Ministries, 48-32; the Praise Cathedral Nets eked past the Blessed Hope 2, 59-57 while the BUCCP Martyrs beat the BUCCI Zealots, 70-42.
In the 35-above class, the LWCC International Bible Institute and the LWCC Couples Ministry registered default wins over Cebu Bethel Temple and the Christian Workers Basketball Association, respectively. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
