ThreeSixty Cup hoop 16-U semifinal round begins today

THE SEMIFINALS in the elite 16-under division A gets underway today as the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers face off against the University of San Carlos-South A in the 2012 ThreSixty Pharmacy Cup at the Don Bosco gym in Labangon.

The Baby Lancers, the recently crowned SBP Under-16 National Championships titlists, are considered to be the underdogs in this match as they are just the second seed in group A behind the Cebu Eastern College Dragons. The Baby Warriors, on the other hand, are the top seeds in groub B following their clean 3-0 (win-loss) sweep of their assignments.

The other semifinals pairing is expected to be a blockbuster as two rivals again forge another chapter in their colorful history with CEC battling the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu A. Their match will be played tomorrow at the SHS-AdC basketball courts along Mango Avenue. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
