Ornopia announces motocross plans for 2012

MOTOCROSS patron Lou Ornopia bared his plans for this year, which includes an international race to be held here in Cebu.

Ornopia also bared that he will be having a 10-leg motocross series, which will feature legitimate and elite motocross riders.

The first leg was already held in Liloan last month. The second leg is slated on May at Borbon town, northern Cebu.

Ornopia said the international race will see the return of the Danish racers who competed in Cebu last year.

These Danish riders were brought to Cebu by motocross superstar Jon Eleazar Adlawan.

Before those events, Ornopia will hold first the annual MS Motosuit Motocross Series Awards at the Teatro Casino of the Casino Filipino at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino this Saturday.

The awards will pay to the outstanding riders for the 2011 series.

Leading the list of awardees will be Kimboy Pineda in the expert division, John Flores in the intermediate division, Cyril Tariman in the novice division, Roy Quirol in the beginners production and Local Enduro, and Dongkey Sanchez in the open enduro.

Jun Enriquez, Russell Gungob and Bj Pepito will receive awards in the Executive’ A, B and C divisions, respectively. Bj Pepito will be awarded in the peewee division and Jogie Basco in the mini division. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
