547 modified mufflers destroyed in Tuguegarao

TUGUEGARAO CITY––Local law enforcers destroyed 547 modified mufflers using a compactor or steamroller in front of the City Park on Wednesday, Nov. 3.

Vicente Blancad, city traffic management chief, said the confiscated modified mufflers were causing obnoxious noise and violating a city ordinance.

Blancad said residents living along the city’s roadside have been complaining about the irritating noise coming from the motorcycles’ loud mufflers.

He said the noise from the altered open-pipe mufflers disrupts the students’ online classes.
