Django vows to avenge compatriot Bata in PBB
FORMER World 9-Ball Champion Francisco “Django” Bustamante will seek revenge against Taiwanese ace Pin Yi Ko when they tangle in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series this Saturday at the Pagcor Airport Casino in Parañaque City.
Ko defeated Bustamante’s Puyat Sports stablemate and double world champion Efren “Bata” Reyes, 4-9, last Saturday in the series dubbed as Philippines vs. Asia.
“This time I will not disappoint my countrymen. I’m ready,” said Bustamante. “Igaganti ko si pareng Efren (Reyes) kay Ko,” added the 48-year-old Bustamante, who beat 2007 World 9-ball champion Britain’s Daryl Peach, 9-8, in November’s PBB Face Off Series.
As of yesterday, Sports Betting at MegaSportsWorld favors Ko against Bustamante. A $1 bet on Ko would win $1.55 while a $1-bet on Bustamante would win $2.02 in the race-to-9, 10-ball affair, winner’s break tournament jointly organized by the Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp.
The match will be aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34. It /Correspondent Marlon Bernardino
