Angeles City logs no new COVID-19 cases, deaths
ANGELES CITY––The city recorded Wednesday zero new COVID-19 cases and deaths, the first time in recent months, the city government disclosed.
Data showed that 14 more patients have recovered from the disease, bringing its active cases to 128 from 209 a week ago.
Sto. Domingo village has the most active cases at 28, followed by Balibago (11) and Pampanga (9).
The city has recorded 12,490 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 11,845 have recovered, while 517 died.
According to the city government, the declining number of active and new COVID-19 cases resulted from its sustained vaccination campaign against the disease.

The number of vaccinated residents was expected to exceed the target population after inmates at the Angeles District Jail and police stations and students were included in the vaccination drive.
