Fire hits residential building in Sampaloc, Manila
MANILA, Philippines —The fire broke out in a residential building in Sampaloc, Manila, Tuesday afternoon, said the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office’s (DRRMO).
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started on a roof deck of a building in front of the Crown Tower University Belt in Loyola cor Tolentino Street, Sampaloc, Manila.
It was raised to first alarm at 2 p.m. but was quickly declared “under control” at 2:25 p.m.
The BFP then declared it extinguished another 20 minutes later at 2:44 p.m.
Both the Manila DRRMO and the BFP have yet to reveal the cause of the fire, as of writing.
