LPA detected off Butuan City to bring rain in parts of VisMin — Pagasa


MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area (LPA) detected in Butuan City on Tuesday morning will bring rain showers in parts of Visayas and Mindanao in the next 24 hours, the state weather service reported.

Pagasa, in its 11 a.m. report, said the low pressure area was estimated to be 40 kilometer west of Butuan City.

“This weather disturbance has a very low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours,” Pagasa said in its advisory.

The LPA will bring light to moderate rain with at times heavy rain over Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Camiguin, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands, according to Pagasa.
