MANILA, Philippines — The city of Las Piñas will give COVID-19 shots to children aged 12 to 17 who belong to the “General Pediatric Population” starting Wednesday, November 3.
“Sa darating na November 3, 2021, umpisahan na po ang pagbabakuna sa mga kabataan edad 12 hanggang 17 taong gulang na kabilang sa General Pediatric Population,” says the advisory posted Monday on the local government’s Facebook page.
(This coming November 3, 2021, vaccination will begin for young people aged 12 to 17 years old who belong to the General Pediatric Population.)
All parents and guardians were then encouraged to guide their children on how to register for the vaccination.
Residents may either visit the local government’s registration site or approach their respective barangays for assisted registration.
A later advisory also posted on Las Piñas City’s Facebook page indicated that kids 12-17 years old with comorbidity or pre-existing health condition (Pediatric A3) will be given their first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, November 2.
Their designated vaccination sites were the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Gym 1 and the Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center.
The Department of Health earlier said that the country has approximately 1.2 million children ages 12 to 17 with comorbidities.
