MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rain are expected to prevail over parts of Southern Luzon, Eastern and Central Visayas on Tuesday while the rest of the country will have generally fair weather, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, we still expect generally fair weather conditions tomorrow and there are still chances of mist due to the northeastern monsoon.)

Meanwhile, the shear line will bring cloudy skies and rain over the eastern and central portion of Visayas.

The shear line is where the winds of the northeast monsoon and easterlies meet, according to Clauren.

On the other hand, the rest of Visayas as well as the entire Mindanao will experience “improved weather conditions,” with chances of rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Below are the forecasted temperature range in key cities/areas according to Pagasa for Tuesday:

  • Metro Manila: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
