OLONGAPO CITY — This city’s government will ease curfew and venue capacity restrictions in establishments starting Wednesday, November 3, as the COVID-19 situation here has improved.
In an executive order, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the prescribed curfew hours in the city were adjusted to 12 midnight until 4 a.m.
Previously, the city’s curfew was set from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day.
Olongapo is currently under Alert Level 2, the second most relaxed level based on the new system enforced by the government.
Paulino also said the venue capacity in all establishments permitted to operate under the least restrictive alert level would now be allowed to accommodate 50 percent of its capacity.
“The city has made a big stride in lowering the number of active COVID-19 cases,” Paulino said.
As of Sunday, the city’s active infections stood at 66, its lowest in recent months, with four new cases and four new recoveries.
The city has been recording a single-digit daily tally of new cases since last month. INQ
