ORMOC CITY — Two alleged members of the New People’s Army (NPA) operating in the hinterlands of Dolores in Eastern Samar surrendered at the headquarters of the 1st Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company on Friday, Oct. 30.

Budo (not his real name), 39, was the first to surrender. He also turned over his caliber .357 revolver with defaced serial number and six live ammunition.

Salba, 20, yielded to authorities with his homemade shotgun with one live ammunition.

The surrender of the two former rebels was the result of the implementation of the whole of nation approach program of the government against communist rebels.
