Six people were killed when 10 fully-armed men led by a certain Amie Andi opened fire at residents of Sitio (sub-village) Bihing, Barangay (village) Tininghalang, Lapuyan, in Zamboanga del Sur around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Lieutenant Colonel Randolph Cabangbang, spokesperson of the Western Mindanao Command, said.
Initial reports disclosed that an undetermined number of people, including children, were wounded in the attack.
The armed men fled immediately after the shooting spree.
