Arrested suspected car thief yields shabu in Quezon province

LUCENA CITY––Police arrested a suspected car thief who also yielded shabu (crystal meth) in Candelaria town in Quezon province before midnight Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The Candelaria police reported that a team of local policemen raided the house of John Michael Solis, 24, in Barangay Malabanban Norte around 11:30 p.m.

The police recovered a Toyota Vios model 2021 reported stolen on Sept. 23 in San Pablo City in Laguna province.

During the search, a policeman reportedly found Solis carrying a plastic sachet of shabu with a street value of P10,200.

The detained suspect is facing corresponding criminal charges, the report said.
