2 killed as truck crashes into wall of supermarket in Bulacan

GUIGUINTO, Bulacan — A truck driver and his helper were killed after their vehicle crashed into the wall of a supermarket in this town on Tuesday, October 26, police said.

Capt. Norweda Usman, Bulacan police information officer, identified the victims as Elmer Delfin, 38, and Wendell Abria, 19.

Usman said Delfin lost control of the vehicle, which was loaded with cut lumber, before slamming into the concrete wall of the supermarket in Barangay Sta. Cruz around 1 p.m.

Investigators said the vehicle’s brake malfunctioned and the victims were pinned between the truck and the wall due to the impact. Both Delfin and Abria died on the spot.
