Nearly 26M Filipinos now fully vaccinated — Palace

MANILA, Philippines — Nearly 26 million Filipinos are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Malacañang reported Tuesday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said as of October 25, Monday, a total of 56,254,529 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered— of which 30,298,860 are first doses while 25,955,669 are second doses.

A total of 538,836 doses of COVID-19 doses were likewise administered nationwide on Monday, said Roque.

Meanwhile, in Metro Manila, Roque said more than 17.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered. Roque said 95 percent of Metro Manila residents have been given their first dose, while 85.79 percent are fully-vaccinated.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported 4,405 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed infections to 2,761,307.

This is the second lowest daily number of cases reported since August, which accounts for only 9 percent of the relatively low number of individuals tested at 47,731.

Meanwhile, the DOH recorded 7,561 recoveries which brings total recoveries to 2,661,602. The death toll stands at 41,942.
