SUBIC BAY FREEPORT––The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has encouraged visitors to engage in leisure activities outdoors and allowed children 14 years old and below to enter the free port.
In a statement Monday, Oct. 25, the SBMA said tourists were permitted to visit open-air spaces such as theme parks, beaches, water parks, playgrounds, and alfresco restaurants.
It said adults must accompany children at all times and that minimum health protocols strictly followed.
The SBMA has been promoting the free port as a leisure destination amid the pandemic.
It has become popular among bikers, fishing enthusiasts, and adventure seekers.
Recently, the SBMA has allowed point-to-point travel from the National Capital Region and other areas under the least restrictive community quarantine classifications as it lifted age restrictions.
