THE decomposing body of a 17-year-old girl was found in a vacant lot in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
Police said the girl, who was a deaf-mute, had injuries in the left eye and in her private parts.
An autopsy will be made to find out if the girl was raped, said Insp. Zenaido Pastorfide, chief of the homicide section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.
Police said the body was found around 3 p.m. last Monday by Jerry Rondina.
The girl was last seen alive with four friends in an outdoor disco in the barangay on Saturday night.
Police said an unidentified man befriended the girl during the disco. The girl left the disco to drink water but failed to return, said police. /REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
