Aquino-Lee wedding won’t happen
MANILA, Philippines—Most INQUIRER.net readers think that President Benigno Aquino III and Grace Lee’s romance will not lead to marriage or “the altar.”
In a poll conducted from February 13 to 23, 73.11 per cent, or 2,479 respondents answered “No” to the poll question, “Do you think the President Aquino – Grace Lee affair will lead to the altar?”
Meanwhile, optimists who answered “Yes” to the poll question were only at 26.89 per cent or 912 respondents.
Aquino, who turned 52 this month, recently admitted that he and Korean-born radio-and-TV-show host Lee were seeing each other.
The President first met Lee last year at the inauguration of the Korea Electric Power Corp. power plant in Cebu. In his speech at the event, he acknowledged Lee, who was the host, as “gwapa” (beautiful).
Since he assumed presidency in 2010, he has been romantically linked to various names including stylist Liz Uy, stockbroker Len Lopez and teacher Bunny Calica. His former girlfriend, Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad, recently tied the knot with Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo.
