LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a man for threatening a barangay tanod (village watchman) with a fake gun in Dasmariñas City in Cavite province early Saturday.
Report from Dasmasriñas police said Ricky Garvilles was riding his motorcycle when he was flagged down by watchman Danny Cruz for routine inspection along Summerwind Drive in Burol Main around 1:40 a.m.
Report said Garvilles, who was under the influence of liquor refused, pulled out a “handgun” from his waist, and pointed it at Cruz.
Cruz immediately grabbed the “gun” that turned out to be just a replica of a real firearm.
Garvilles is now detained and is facing appropriate charges.
