Tarlac cemeteries closed from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Tarlac’s Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on COVID-19 has ordered the closure of all public and private cemeteries in the province from October 29 to Novermber 2 as a measure against the spread of the viral disease.

The task force issued a resolution on Friday “to minimize the risk of super spreader events during Undas (All Saint’s Day).”

In its most recent bulletin, the provincial government said it has  recorded 90 new COVID-19 cases, 190 recoveries, and 34 deaths.

The latest fatalities were residents of Moncada town (8), Victoria (6), Mayantoc (4), Paniqui (4), Santa Ignacia (4), San Manuel (3), San Jose (2), Pura (1), Ramos (1), and San Clemente (1).

Tarlac has registered a total of 17,448 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 16,392 have recovered while 735 have died.
