MANILA, Philippines — More than 270,000 quarantine protocol violators were reported in the country within the last six days, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Friday.
PNP reported 279,039 quarantine protocol violations from October 16 to October 21.
Most of them, or 220,806, violated the minimum public health standards, 45,106 violated curfew, while 13,127 were those who were not APORs (authorized persons outside the residence).
Of the total number of violators, 79 percent or 221,672 were warned, 14 percent or 38,779 were fined, while seven percent or 18,558 were subjected to community service or other penalties, according to the police.
Meanwhile, in Metro Manila, a total of 54,971 quarantine protocol violators were reported within the same period.
