MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will conduct a voting simulation on Saturday, October 23, in San Juan Elementary School in San Juan City as a test-run for the May 9, 2022, elections.
A total of 4,235 individuals will participate and they will be required to wear face masks and face shields, and observe 1-meter physical distancing at all times.
“While we definitely expect these health and safety protocols to impact voting hours and the number of voters that may be allowed to vote at a given time, we are confident that this activity will help us to streamline the overall voting experience,” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said. —DONA Z.
