377,318 Negros Occidental folk receive vaccinations from provincial gov't

BACOLOD CITY – The Negros Occidental provincial government has vaccinated 377,318 individuals or 21 percent of its target population of 1.8 million to reach herd immunity against COVID-19, according to Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.

Silay City has vaccinated the most number of residents at 34,698, followed by Sagay City at 28,017; Talisay City – 25, 383;  Bago City – 24,759;  Cadiz City – 23,794; Victorias City – 23,104; and La Carlota  City –  20,016.

Diaz said they do not yet have the target number of minors aged 12 to 17 years old to be vaccinated.

He urged local governments to continue the vaccination drives on Saturdays and Sundays when more people are off from work and can get vaccinated.
