MANILA, Philippines — The ground commander for the security force assigned to maintain order around the vicinity of Veterans Memorial Medical Center has arrived and is now inside the room of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, a police officer said Thursday.
Inspector Manuel dela Cruz of the Quezon City Police District said that Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao arrived around 5:30 a.m. and went straight to ward 6 where Arroyo has been confined.
He said that the security force assigned at VMMC would come from the National Capital Region-led Special Task Force Former President Glorial Macapagal Arroyo and QCPD.
Cruz also said that Arroyo was still inside the government-run hospital.
