SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––At least 10 jeepneys in this province are participating in a free-ride program of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for frontliners, essential workers, and authorized persons outside of residence (APORs).
The jeepneys ply the Subic-San Felipe route via San Antonio from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Passengers are asked to follow minimum health protocols, such as wearing face masks and observing physical distancing.
This program aims to help ease the burden of frontliners riding public utility vehicles to report for duty.
The DOTr has partnered with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and the Subic-San Narciso-San Felipe Operators and Drivers Transport Service Cooperative for the project.
