Fugitive in Zambales captured after 7 years in hiding

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––A suspected drug trader, who is on the list of Central Luzon’s most wanted persons, was arrested after seven years in hiding, police said Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Col. Romano Cardiño, provincial police director, identified the suspect as Harley Viray, 42. He reportedly operates a drug den in the province.

Cardiño said Viray was arrested Tuesday afternoon during a manhunt operation at Barangay Cupang in Antipolo City, Rizal province.

Viray was captured based on an arrest warrant issued by a local court on July 31, 2014, for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The police said Viray was detained at the Candelaria police station.
