TACLOBAN CITY––A series of earthquakes struck Wednesday the town of Albuera in Leyte.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said it traced the first quake in Albuera at 6:11 a.m. with a magnitude of 2.1 and a depth of 011 kilometers.
This was followed at 6:12 a.m. by a 4.0 magnitude earthquake, which had a depth of 002 kilometers.
The quake was felt in Abuyog and Dulag towns and in the city of Baybay, all in Leyte, at Intensity 3; in Palo and Hilongos, both in Leyte at Intensity 2; and in Sogod, Southern Leyte at Intensity 1.
Another quake was felt in Albuera at6:15 a.m. with a magnitude of 3.7 and a depth of 033 kilometers.
The last tremor took place at 6:18 a.m. It had a depth of 002 kilometers and a magnitude of 2.2.
The Phivolcs said it had not monitored any damage.
