MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4 earthquake struck Albuera town in Leyte on Wednesday morning, the state volcanologists reported.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 6:12 am, 12 kilometers north of Albuera with a depth of two kilometers, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Intensity 3 was felt in Abuyog, City of Baybay and Dulag in Leyte.
Palo and Hilongos towns in Leyte experienced Intensity 2, while Intensity 1 was recorded in Sogod, Southern Leyte.
There are no expected aftershocks and damage due to the earthquake, according to Phivolcs.
