Based on the schedule announced Wednesday, the wake of Negros Occidental Representative Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo will take place in three areas following his arrival from Ninoy Aquino International Airport—the house of Aleli Arroyo, the ancestral house of the Arroyos and Bacolod City, then back to Aleli’s house before interment on Saturday.
Aleli said Ignacio’s body, to be accompanied by Ibuna from London, would be brought from the airport to the Arlington mortuary in Quezon City.
On Saturday at 10 a.m., the body will be moved to the ancestral house of the Arroyos at No. 14 Badjao St., La Vista subdivision, Quezon City.
On Sunday, the body will be brought to the conjugal house, three houses away, at No. 17 Badjao St., where Aleli said she and Ignacio had lived for 10 years.
On Tuesday, the body will be brought to the House of Representatives for necrological rites and on the same day, it will be flown to Bacolod City.
The body will be brought back to the Arroyos’ ancestral house on Friday morning. Burial is scheduled for Saturday at the family mausoleum in Manila’s North Cemetery. Reports from Nancy C. Carvajal and Jong Manlapaz, Inquirer 990kHz
