MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have generally fair weather with possible isolated rain shower, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Monday.
Generally fair weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, except Batanes and Babuyan Islands, which will have cloudy skies and rain showers due the northeasterly surface windflow.
“Umiiral ang northeasterly surface windflow sa may bandang dulong hilagang Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Chris Perez said.
(The northeasterly surface windflow is prevailing over extreme northern Luzon.)
Visayas and Mindanao, meanwhile, can expect hot and humid weather with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
A gale warning is raised over the seaboards of northern Luzon namely Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.
“Dahil sa umiiral na northeasterly surface windflow, may nakataas tayong gale warning,” Perez said.
(Because of the northeasterly surface windflow, a gale warning is raised.)
The rest of the country’s seaboards will have moderate to rough sea conditions.
