MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao on Friday added three more names to his senatorial slate, increasing his number of candidates to ten.
Pacquiao’s faction in the PDP-Laban party included in its senatorial lineup Senator Richard Gordon, former Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares, and labor leader Elmer Labog.
Earlier, Pacquiao listed seven names, which included guest candidates, as part of his senatorial slate. They are:
Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo
Former Vice President Jejomar Binay
Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri
Senator Joel Villanueva
Former senator Francis Escudero
Former senator Loren Legarda
Former governor Lutgardo Barbo
“Mayroon kaming senatorial line-up. Hindi lang namin binuo dahil maraming guest candidates sa ating mga senador at hindi naman natin sila kino-korner dahil senatorial ang tinatakbuhan nila… so pwede silang mag-guest candidate,” Pacquiao said in an earlier interview on ABS-CBN News Channel.
(We have a senatorial line-up. We did not complete it because there are many guest candidates for senators and we are not cornering them… they can choose to be guest candidates.)
Pacquiao earlier filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for president, with House Deputy Speaker and former Manila mayor Lito Atienza as his running mate.
