OLONGAPO CITY — The local government on Thursday (Oct. 14) carried out a house-to-house inoculation in one of the villages here as part of its COVID-19 vaccination on wheels.
The mobile vaccination was done in Barangay Kalaklan since the identified vaccine site there was not available, according to the Olongapo City Information Office.
Kalaklan was among the first villages to benefit from the mobile vaccination that was designed for senior citizens who could not go to the city’s major vaccine sites.
On Oct. 8, the local government launched its vaccination on wheels to inoculate elderly residents against COVID-19 and speed up its mass inoculation program.

To date, the city has already inoculated 100,295 residents as of Wednesday. At least 34, 984 of them were already fully vaccinated.
Olongapo has to vaccinate 70 percent or 182,000 of its 260,000.
