Drug reformists create Christmas lanterns in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY—Several drug reformists in this city have begun creating Christmas lanterns as part of their livelihood training.

In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the reformists are undergoing rehabilitation at the city’s “Bahay Pagbabago,” a center for mild to moderate drug reformists.

Paulino said the local government would buy the lanterns to help the reformists earn an income.

He also urged businessmen to avail of the lanterns in time for the Yuletide season.

“I’m happy to see the result of this program (rehabilitation). We’re discovering the skills of our reformists,” Paulino said.
