Active COVID-19 cases in Olongapo fall to 200-mark anew
OLONGAPO CITY—At least 69 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 in this city, bringing down to 261 its active cases as of Monday (Oct. 11), local data showed.
It was the city’s lowest number of active infections since Aug. 10 and marked the first time that it dropped to the 200-mark in two months.
Only three new COVID-19 cases were added to the city’s data on the same day, which slightly raised to 5,317 the total number of cases that were logged since last year.
But nine new deaths related to the viral disease were registered on Monday, which brought to 281 its death toll.
Healthcare workers were also monitoring at least 74 suspected cases in the city.
