Almost 50% of Angeles City target population vaccinated vs COVID-19
ANGELES CITY – A total of 160,582 or 49.5 percent of the target population here have so far been been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the city government announced.
Data as of October 8 also showed that some 174,612 residents or about 53.9 percent of the at least 324,000 eligible individuals have also received the initial dose of the vaccine.
The city government intends to inoculate at least 70 percent of its 462,928 total population based on the 2020 census.
The vaccine brands administered to the residents include SinoVac, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Pfizer, Moderna and Sinopharm.
On Saturday, this city registered 42 new COVID-19 cases, 65 recoveries and two deaths.
Article continues after this advertisementSince the onset of the pandemic last year, it has recorded a total of 12,184 COVID-19 cases, 11,018 recoveries and 491 deaths.
The active COVID-19 cases stood at 675 as of Saturday.
