Former Vigan City mayor Medina eyes comeback

VIGAN CITY — Eva Marie Medina, former mayor of this city, has filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) on Friday, October 8, seeking to be elected again as mayor in Ilocos Sur’s capital city in the 2022 elections.

Her son, Juan Carlos, is the incumbent mayor of Vigan.

Eva, who is allied with the team of Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Singson, will be facing Jose “Bonito” Singson Jr., the brother of political kingpin Luis “Chavit” Singson in the position. Eva is Chavit’s niece.

The former Vigan mayor will be running with incumbent councilor Kisses Agdamag-Lim as vice mayor.
