ILOILO CITY—Supporters of Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo held a caravan here a day after she filed her certificate of candidacy for president in next year’s elections.

With many wearing pink, Robredo’s campaign color, her supporters led by the “Team Leni Robredo” and “We are One for Leni” volunteer groups attended Mass at the Jaro Cathedral before holding the caravan.

More than 50 vehicles, including motorcycles with balloons, passed along the main streets of the city districts of La Paz, Jaro, Mandurriao, City Proper, Molo, and Arevalo.

Other supporters who waited along the streets also displayed posters or streamers in support of Robredo.

Iloilo is among the provinces where Robredo got the highest votes for vice president in the 2016 elections. She garnered 706,052 votes, while former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. got 127,434 votes.
