IBA, Zambales––The former vice-governor of Zambales province filed Friday his certificate of candidacy (COC) to run for the same post again.
Ramon Lacbain II was vice governor for 12 years from 2001-2007 and 2010-2016.
Lacbain, a radio broadcaster, has been in public service since 1980 when he served as barangay chair of Wawandue in Subic town.
He also served as a provincial board member for 13 years beginning in 1985 and became the official spokesperson of the Department of Agriculture from 2000-2001.
According to Lacbain, he is running as an independent candidate and would focus on tourism, employment, livelihood, and agriculture once elected.
He is the first to file a COC for vice governor, according to the Commission on Elections here. INQ
