MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday said it recorded 10,019 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the total number of cases in the country to 2,632,881.
In its daily case bulletin, the DOH said there remain 115,328 active cases or currently sick individuals, with the majority or 77.1 percent being mild cases, 13.6 percent asymptomatic, 1.2 percent in critical condition, 2.7 percent severe, and 5.3 percent moderate.
The department also reported 7,425 additional recoveries, which pushed the total number of survivors to 2,478,616; and 109 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 38,937.
However, the deaths reported on Thursday do not include those from the past two days, which the department was unable to report due to persistent issues with COVIDKaya, the DOH’s COVID-19 information database. —PATRICIA DENISE M. CHIU
