Actress Claudine Barretto files COC for councilor in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY—Actress Claudine Barretto and her talent manager Arnold Vegafria filed their certificates of candidacies (COCs) in this city on Thursday, Oct. 7.
Barretto will run for councilor, while Vegafria will run for mayor, under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) party and local party “Anak ng Gapo Coalition.”
JB Saliba, a former actor and Mr. World Philippines 2018, also filed his COC for councilor.
Their slate includes Lester Nadong for vice mayor, and Pocholo Galian, Vic-vic Magsaysay, Ian Vegafria Bautista, Joe Madria, Derrick Manuel, Macky Alonzo, Oliver Guerrero, and Iska Tablan Villegas for councilors, and Ma. Milagros “Mitos” Habana-Magsaysay for representative of the first district of Zambales.
“I know that it won’t be an easy task, but I’m confident that with our team’s strategic alliance with key players in business and industry, we can rebuild this city and bring back the economic and tourism boom that it enjoyed decades ago,” Vegafria said.
Senator Koko Pimentel appointed Vegafria as the PDP-Laban deputy campaign manager and official spokesperson.
