3 Internet cafe robbers dead

Three robbery suspects were killed as they tried to shoot their way out of an Internet shop in Quezon City late Monday night.

Police Officer 3 Roland Belgica said a fourth suspect was able to escape. One of the slain suspects was identified as Gilbert Lacoste, a resident of Agham Road, Project 6, Quezon City.

Investigation showed that the suspects declared a holdup at Cyber Cafe, a 24-hour Internet shop on Quirino Highway, Barangay (village) San Bartolome, Novaliches, just before midnight.

Before the shootout, the suspects, who carried knives and small firearms, took money and valuables from the shop’s cashier and at least 10 customers.—Nancy C. Carvajal
