‘Strength of Tausugs’: Kusug Tausug partylist files CONA for reelection

MANILA, Philippines — A party-list representing Tausug and other minority groups filed their certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) on Thursday.

Rep. Shernee Tan-Tambut filed the Kusug Tausug’s CONA CONA at Harbor Garden Tent at Sofitel in Pasay City.

“Although her party list is most identified with Sulu, Kusug Tausug’s broad vision is to give protection to the most marginalized of Philippine society, particularly the Muslims,” her office said in a statement.

Tan-Tambut served as the first nominee of Kusug Tausug — which means “strength of Tausugs” in the Tausug language.

Should Kusug Tausug gain a seat again in the 2022 elections, it will be Rep. Tan-Tambut’s last term representing the party-list.
