3 more COVID-19 deaths logged in Olongapo City but recoveries continue to rise

OLONGAPO CITY—Three more deaths related to COVID-19 were recorded in this city, data from the local task force showed on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

The fatalities were three women aged 25, 51 and 96. Their deaths raised to 271 the city’s COVID-19 death toll.

Data also showed that 49 patients have recovered from the viral disease, which brought down the city’s active cases to 415.

At least 19 new infections were also added to the city’s COVID-19 tally on the same day.

Since last year, a total of 5, 222 residents here contacted COVID-19 but at least 4, 538 were already healed from the disease.
