TAGBILARAN CITY—A former board member, now a commercial pilot, filed Tuesday her certificate of candidacy (COC) for the representative of the 2nd district of Bohol.

Jovana “Jaja” Jumamoy was accompanied by her mother Inabanga Mayor Roygie Jumamoy and brother former Inabanga Mayor and now Councilor Jono Jumamoy at the provincial Commission on Elections’s office.

“I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to be the voice of the second district. I would like to share what else I can do for the people that will benefit us all,” said Jumamoy.

Before she became a pilot, Jumamoy was a provincial board member from 2013 to 2016.

She said that like maneuvering the plane, running for a position needs a clear vision of what the people need.

Enrico Aristotle Aumentado currently occupies the House seat. He is reportedly running for governor in the 2022 elections.

Jumamoy would probably face Aumentado’s wife, Vanessa, who is yet to file her COC.
